Broke the 2K/Day Barrier! Crossed the 10K Mark!

Thanks to everyone for being patient with my whining this morning. I read the Week Two chapter in No Plot? No Problem! shortly after my whiny post, and discovered that my disgruntlement was precisely on schedule. It's not quite the same flavor Baty warned me to expect--since I did, after all, start with a plot in mind--but in intensity, it's pretty normal. Which leads me to wonder, not for the first time since November 1, why anyone who'd done Nanowrimo once would wish to do it twice. Baty assures me that the exhilaration of Week Three will answer that question.

Anyhow, now back to the good news.

Today's new words: 2227

Conditions: Longhand afternoon shift at Starbucks, late night typing shift in dining room. Stealing back my proper circadian rhythm, doctors be damned. No more pretending to be a morning person.

Notable incidents: First occurrence of the kin curse for this book. Those curious about the mechanics of the kin curse from the last book will (someday, when there is a better draft) finally be enlightened about what the pesky dead have to do with it.

Remaining word deficit: 2716. Tomorrow, it will be smaller.
